Minecraft Mobs


What are Minecraft Mobs?

Mobs are "living", moving game entities. The term "mob" is short for "mobile". There are three main types of mobs: passive, neutral and hostile.

Passive Mobs

Passive mobs are harmless, peaceful mobs that do not attack the player, even when provoked, and run away if provoked. Here is a list of passive mobs:
  • Bat
  • Cat
  • Chicken
  • Cod
  • Cow
  • Donkey
  • Fox
  • Horse
  • Mooshroom
  • Mule
  • Ocelot
  • Parrot
  • Pig
  • Rabbit
  • Salmon
  • Sheep

  • Villager
  • Wandering Trader
  • Neutral Mobs

    Neutral mobs attack the player only when provoked. Some neutral mobs have unique requirements to trigger their hostility towards the player. Here is a list of neutral mobs:

  • Dolphin
  • Llama
  • Panda
  • Polar Bear
  • Trader Llama
  • Wolf
  • Cave Spider
  • Endermen
  • Spider
  • Zombie Pigman
  • Hostile Mobs

    Hostile mobs are dangerous, aggressive mobs that always attack the player on sight. Here is a list of hostile mobs:

  • Blaze
  • Chicken Jockey
  • Creeper
  • Drowned
  • Elder Guardian
  • Endermite

  • Ghast
  • Guardian
  • Husk
  • Magma Cube
